Dunno why I can't submit band, but I want to submit my friends band: Disseized.

http://www.myspace.com/disseized
http://www.disseized.com/

I think it's clearly somewhere between death metal and grindcore, and would like to submit it.

So can you either submit it or tell me why I can't because it's kinda annoying to submit and when I click on OK (or whatever it is) it tells me: What are you doing here?

Thanks for the help ^_^

I guess you just haven't read the rules.
Metal Archives wrote:
There are 500 bands waiting in queue. The maximum submitted bands at the same time is 500. Additionally, there are a shitload of reports to still take care of, so to attenuate the workload of our staff we are keeping all the band submissions locked for now.

This is just too much work for our staff to handle (note: the number is in real time, so if it's really low, chances are it will be unlocked soon :P), so we are forced to temporarily suspend the band submissions from non-staff members.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but you will have to wait before making your next band submission. We cannot estimate how long. We are not happy to do this, but it's a necessity.

Thank you for your comprehension.

and then? Shall I write: I have listened to the band uuuuuuuuuuuuuu and they suck! Abba is rather being categorized as metal than this band?

What shall we do? and how?

you can give your opinion

just say: OK for being accepted (= 1) metal enough 2) have at least a demo)

try to find missing info, links (myspace,r eviews, websites) , say NOT METAL AT ALL (punk, nu metal)
anything that can help us to make our decision ;)

I'll upload a rapidshare link for this band:
http://www.metal-archives.com/pendingband.php?id=84867
Endura
I have the Black Eden album.
But one thing: the lyric themes there are wrong. It is Satanism, Lovecraft (the world the older one)
I'll post a link onto that.

Just trying to give a hand on the clean up of the admissions:

I listened to the samples on the website and it sounds like a ska-punk Mighty Mighty Boss Stones type thing mixed with horrible vocals that sort of remind me of System of a Down *shudder*.

Give the samples a check out if my explanation still leaves a small hole in the decision making.

Haha, oh shit, that's straight punkrock with minor metal influences - reject it.

Fleshrobot metal? HELL NO!

If that isn't punkrock (barring the vocals) what it is?

I give you an translation of the band's site.

The sound consists of a lot of different facetts which reflect the background each bandmember has. According to this the overall sound of the band is hardly describeable. The basis for the sound is metal in a broader sense. Punk will have its part, too, as will have other non-metal genres like Rock, Samba, Swing and blues.

This describes the music quite good I think. The track one you have linked to is Punk, but the other one not that much... well...

Trust your own judgement, as always. Users are expected to make mistakes, otherwise our moderating services wouldn't be needed at all.

I'm inclined to accept this band, actually. What oneyoudontknow said makes sense to me. The other two tracks are metal, it's reasonable to guess that's what most of the album sounds like.

Well, I was acting a bit too energetically, so it's also my merit that it got rejected. Sorry.

I'd say let the right to oneyoudontknow to re-submit it. :)

Hmm, nobody has re-submitted Fleshrobot yet, I'd do it, but I have no clue what would be the best genre description.

Reported all, except those from December the 12th. I'll do that later.

When you write

release - check
Genre - check

what does it mean? = ok? or do I have to check (seeing Cyanure, for me it means OK...)

Haha, well, "release? check." means that they have released something, "I have checked that" and so on. ;)
